Tahera Corporation & BHP Billiton Complete Ranch Lake

05/09/2002

Kimberlite Drilling Program

Ranch Lake Kimberlite, ICE Claims, Northwest Territories

(Tahera / BHP Billiton Joint Venture)

Tahera Corporation is pleased to report that the drilling program centered on the Ranch Lake kimberlite has been completed.

Four vertical NQ (approximately 2-inch diameter) core holes were drilled to depths of between 150 and 200 metres in the central untested area of the large Ranch Lake kimberlite. After drilling through lake bottom sediments and till, continuous kimberlite was encountered in each hole. A total of 548 metres of kimberlite were intersected in the four vertical holes. Micro- diamond analysis of kimberlite samples from the core holes will be performed at Lakefield Research Limited in Lakefield, Ontario. The next stage of evaluation for the Ranch Lake kimberlite will be determined following analysis of both historical and recent micro-diamond data.

BHP Billiton, the operator of the joint venture, has the option to earn a 60% to 70% interest in Tahera's ICE Claims. BHP Billiton can earn up to a 60% interest in discovered kimberlites, and up to a 70% interest in new discoveries, by funding exploration and evaluation activities on the property and financing the construction of the first diamond mine. In addition, BHP Billiton is required to commence the extraction of a 200-tonne bulk sample on the Ranch Lake kimberlite by July 2003 in order to retain its option to earn an interest in the kimberlite.

BHP Billiton operates the world-class EKATI(TM) Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories. The Ranch Lake kimberlite, situated on the ICE Claims, is located 75 kilometres northwest of the EKATI(TM) Diamond Mine and 85 kilometres south of Tahera's Jericho Claims.

The qualified person for the ICE Claims project is Jon Carlson, Manager Exploration and Resources for BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. Rockinghorse Property and Jericho Claims

An update on exploration results from both the Rockinghorse Property and Jericho Claims will be provided within the next two weeks.
