Hugo Dummett Appointed To Tahera's Board Of Directors |

Toronto, Ontario, Jul 17, 2001 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- Tahera Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hugo Dummett as a Director of the Corporation. Mr. Dummett holds a geology degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, and is one of Canada's most prominent and knowledgeable diamond industry professionals.
Mr. Dummett is currently Chief Executive Officer of African Minerals Limited. From 1989 to 2000, Mr. Dummett was employed with BHP Minerals, serving as Vice President and Senior Vice President Exploration from 1994 to 2000.
Mr. Dummett was instrumental in the negotiations that led to the formation of the joint venture agreement between BHP Minerals and Dia Met Minerals Ltd. in the early 1990's, and he successfully led the team that was responsible for the discovery of the world class Ekati diamond pipes in the Northwest Territories.
Mr. Dummett's vast diamond industry experience will be extremely beneficial to Tahera Corporation as the Company continues to explore and develop its extensive diamond projects in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
Mr. Dov Farkas has resigned as a Director of the Corporation. Tahera would like to thank Mr. Farkas for his contributions as a Director.
Tahera Corporation is focused on exploring its highly prospective landholdings in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
