Anuri Kimberlite is Significantly Diamondiferous |

Toronto, Ontario, Aug 22, 2001 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- Tahera Corporation is pleased to report additional diamond results from the recently discovered Anuri kimberlite. The Anuri kimberlite was discovered in July 2001 near the head of a prominent kimberlite indicator mineral train on the Rockinghorse Property in Nunavut.
The Rockinghorse Property, located approximately 120 km northwest of Tahera's Jericho Diamond Project, is held under the Tahera / Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. joint venture. Kennecott, a member of the Rio Tinto group of companies, is the operator of the joint venture. Pursuant to the joint venture agreement, Kennecott can earn a 62.5% interest in the property by funding all costs on discoveries up to and including a decision to mine.
Preliminary results indicate that the kimberlite is significantly diamondiferous. The 489 kilograms of kimberlite processed by caustic fusion at Kennecott's diamond laboratory in Thunder Bay Ontario returned 730 diamonds, of which 47 were greater than 0.5 mm. The results are summarized as follows:

A 3/4 carat diamond was recovered from the latest samples processed. Kennecott is continuing its current aggressive exploration program. Detailed analysis of the prominent kimberlite indicator mineral train emanating from the Anuri kimberlite area indicates that additional diamondiferous kimberlites may exist in the general vicinity. Airborne and ground geophysical surveys, till sampling and exploration drilling are ongoing in an effort to discover more kimberlites. Further results will be announced in the coming weeks. Following analysis of the results of the current program, the next phase of evaluation will be determined.
Tahera Corporation is focused on exploring its highly prospective landholdings in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
