R. Peter Gillin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gillin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Zemex Corporation, a public company that produced diversified industrial minerals and recycled aluminum, until May 2003 when it was acquired by an international industrial products and mining group. Mr. Gillin is a career investment banker serving as Vice-Chairman of N M Rothschild & Sons Canada Limited until 2002, and prior to 1996 as Managing Director at Scotia Capital.
Andrew Gottwald Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President Finance
Mr. Gottwald is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and holds a degree in Statistical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Gottwald has over ten years' experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Tahera, he was employed with Arthur Andersen LLP.
Gregory Missal Vice President, Corporate Affairs
Mr. Missal holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Regina. He worked with Monopros Exploration Inc. (De Beers) in 1994; the Saskatchewan Geological Survey in 1995; and joined Lytton Minerals (Tahera's predecessor) in 1998 as the Company's Land Manager. Mr. Missal has also worked as a geological consultant on base metal and precious metal projects. He is a Director of both the NWT/Nunavut Chamber of Mines and the Mining Association of Canada.
Michael Johnson
Director of Operations
Mr. Johnson has been involved in the diamond exploration industry for more than 10 years. He was extensively involved in the Company's exploration programs as a geologist between 1998 and 2002 and as exploration manager for the Company from 2002 to mid 2007. Mr. Johnson was also involved in the data analysis and planning for the development of the Jericho kimberlite for the past nine years including contributing to the development of the feasibility study. Mr. Johnson earned a Geological Sciences Degree from Queen’s University in 1996 and brings an extensive understanding of kimberlite evaluation, the Jericho geology, project planning, quality control and diamond processing.
Paul Stein Corporate Secretary
Mr. Stein is a securities lawyer practising in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Paul’s practice also involves acting on behalf of clients engaged in the natural resource industry: assisting them in the negotiation of joint ventures, farm-in agreements and financing of exploration and development projects, both in Canada and internationally.
He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute, an educational organization dedicated to the study of the legal system in issues affecting natural resources law, and is also a member of the Securities section of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
